It’s early Monday Morning and I’m starting off with my Devotion!
Yes I’m getting back on track with GOD! I was quite upset for a while didn’t go to church because of things that were happening in my life but I’ve come to the realization GOD is the only one who can help me. And the fact that I have to do a WOMENS CONFERENCE at my church on March 30, 2008 help me to get back on track. So keep me in prayer!
Church was awesome and I’m beginning to come back to myself. DUPREE told me yesterday that I was the best step-mother ever and he really loved and appreciated me. HOW could you not cry over that! And I realize it’s not the little guys fault what is happening to him so I guess what I’m trying to say is …..it’s not that bad after all and I have truly adapted and he keeps me company and makes me laugh when I’m sad and when he is gone I do miss him! So it was a great weekend and Sunday after church my husband, myself and dupree (let me stop calling him that lol - but its so funny you guys saw the movie) anyway MARQUIS and I went to Red Lobster - no worries though stuck to my plan to a T no bread, no rice, just lobster, shrimp, salmom and broccoli!
All in all I had a great weekend; my husband has been driving me crazy and my mom says because I need to get close to him (lol) if you know what I mean. I guess I’m really sad that he is leaving but I don’t want to be the one to stop his dream you know how that can be so I’m dealing with it! He’ll be gone for good in two weeks to BIG OLE’ TEXAS and Marquis and I will be together until the summer! I have and will adjust to the changes.
SO to my wonderful buddies SHANNA (yeah you checked out my weigh-in on Saturday!) AND KAMA I’m with you on the Devotions and I will continue going forward. I actually did alot of forgiving in church on Sunday and it feels so good! And I forgave myself because I haven’t actually been too nice during all of this, but hey we all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory right? This should be a wonderful week because it started out great! Have a wonderful day buddies!!!! And keep TONI in your prayers~!!!!!

I’m glad things are going better for you Angela. You sound much better and you sound hopeful too and that’s a good thing. Good luck with you and Dupree. Maybe some time together will bring you two closer. And God is always there for us huh? We just have to take the good with the bad and hold strong. Good luck with all you having going on. Huggs girl!

That was so sweet of your step son to say that. Its hard being a step parent, I have 4 step children, 1 used to live with us and its tough. Keep up the positive attitude and God will guide you the rest of the way!!

i’m so glad to see you’re a Christian. i have to tell you i’m a bit embarrassed for having some swear words on my blog. i have to remember that sometimes what we think is funny and cool, God does not. in church this week they talked about our circle of influence and how we can show people Christ in our lives and the lives we can touch just in our circle. it made me feel guilty about a couple of my blogs/comments that i’ve made. i’m very excited about my buddyslim buddies and what a great bunch of positiveness has come into my life through this site. there is a lot i’m going through right now but i wanted to be positive and not be one of the downers on this website, ya know? heather is really the only one who knows most of it. anyhow, i’m willing to pray for you and walk the walk and i know you’ll have my back. but more importantly, i know Jesus has my back. thanks for your honesty and realness. see ya in the morning. =)
I’m glad you and Marquis are getting closer. You know Angela, we don’t know why God puts certain people in our lives, but He does and although sometimes we fight the situation, in the end it turns out to be a true blessing. Take Marquis love for you for example…what can be more pure than the heart of a child? And for all you know, this little guy will grow up to be the one who takes care of you in your old age…I don’t know, something to think about.

Now let me ask you about Devotionals…I’ve been told to stay away since I have never studied the Bible before. I am seeking to get closer to God and I am in the market for an easy to read Bible. Do you agree with the naysayers on Devotionals? What advise do you have for me if any?
